About Me

About Me

Hello, my name is Sara Myers and I am graduating from Keene State College with Honors this May with a degree in Health Sciences. Through my education and internships, I am experienced in health promotion in both community and clinical settings

While I am passionate about promoting health, I understand that community-wide health improvement cannot be achieved without also addressing other areas including economic policy, public education, agriculture, environmental health, and social equity. This is why, in addition to my health science curriculum and experience, I am passionate about pursuing public policy and advocacy. I have volunteered on political campaigns at the local and national levels, lobbied the United States Congress for public health and family planning services around the globe, trained fellow students in salary negotiation, developed a “living wage” calculator that was then used to negotiate better pay for a worker’s union, and wrote an article on the relationship between income and health which was published in Keene State Today
